Institute of Biomedical Science says laboratory professionals needed for selection and implementation of new tests

The Institute of Biomedical Science has called for laboratory professionals to help design and implement technology that allows diagnostic testing at patients’ bedsides.

Traditionally, diagnostic tests are performed in laboratories but there is increasing interest and demand for an emerging form of diagnostic tests where they are carried out near the patient, and not in the lab.
